Green Planet Paradise Contemplates Food Sovereignty Bill

GreenPlanetParadise.com has recently been meeting with local organizations to decide whether or not to work towards passing a food sovereignty bill.

As a response to the recent passage of “food safety” bills S. 510 and the corresponding H.R. 2751, many towns across America, starting with the little town of  Sedgwick, Maine and spreading across the country to Wyoming, Utah and now Arizona, small town America is taking a stand against Big Brother.

In the spirit of the founding fathers, people are remembering and declaring their unalienable god-given rights. Small towns across America are fed up and the American spirit is alive and strong.

Our rights, our founding fathers agreed, do not come from the king nor from government. They don’t even come from the papers that declare what rights we have, instead the founders agreed as do many strong blooded Americans, that our rights come from our creator and are unalienable. These rights can neither be created nor destroyed and we are all born with these rights.

In this spirit of 1776, Vermont Senator Elect for 2012, Robert Wagner has posted on his website the following Resolution for the state of Vermont:

The Vermont Resolution for Food Sovereignty

WHEREAS All people are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, and among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; and

WHEREAS Food is human sustenance and is the fundamental prerequisite to life; and

WHEREAS The basis of human sustenance rests on the ability of all people to save seed, grow, process, consume and exchange food and farm products; and

WHEREAS We the People of Vermont, have an obligation to protect these rights as is the Common and Natural Law; and in recognition of the State’s proud agricultural heritage; and the necessity of agricultural, ecological and economic diversity and sustainability to a free and healthy Society;

THEREFORE, Be it resolved, that We The People, stand on our rights under the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution and reject such Federal decrees, statutes, regulations or corporate practices that threaten our basic human right to save seed, grow, process, consume and exchange food and farm products within the State of Vermont; and,

Be it further resolved, that We The People, shall resist any and all infringements upon these rights, from whatever sources that are contrary to the rights of the People of the State of Vermont.

Food Sovereignty

We at Green Planet Paradise fully support the people of Vermont and all people across America to organize themselves and declare their sovereignty from the tyranny of federal intrusion into our civil liberties. The right to control our food supply is not outlined in the constitution and is therefore reserved to the people and to the states.

We look forward to organizing our community and supporting all those across the country who wish to follow in the same footsteps. Food Sovereignty is an unalienable,  natural right that comes to us from our creator, not from our government. To follow the food sovereignty movement nationwide visit:
